Critical Report

Further sources of the compositions edited by Pokorn are listed below together with the current catalogue numbers.

I. Simfonia ex G, i.e. Trio in G [T.G.2]

A-Wgm, XIII 1325 (olim: XIII 1325/gg). This is the only preserved copy. The composition also appears in the music inventory of the Benedictine monastery in Rajhrad, where it is listed under Ivanschiz’s name (in the section entitled Parthiae a Quadro et A Tre, on page 186).34

II. Simfonia ex A, i.e. Trio in A [T.A.1]

A-Wgm, XIII 8550 (olim: XIII 8550/gg). The composition survives also in D-ZL, no shelfmark, where it is incorrectly attributed to Franz Asplmayr. A comparison with other string trios by both composers confirms Ivanschiz’s authorship.

III. Simfonia ex B, i.e. Trio in B flat [T.B.2]

A-Wgm, XIII 8549 (olim: XIII 8549/gg). The composition survives in two further copies, both already mentioned by Pokorn: A-Wgm, IX 1069, and one written in Rome in 1765 that belongs to the collection of the Fürstlich Fürstenbergische Hofbibliothek in Donaueschingen and is currently housed at the Badische Landesbibliothek in Karlsruhe (D-DO, Don Mus.Ms. 822).
